When is the best time to visit Jim Thompson Farm?
The farm’s lavender and sunflower blooms typically occur December to February during the cool dry season. This is also the most comfortable time to visit the Khao Yai area. Check the farm’s seasonal planting calendar before visiting as bloom periods vary year to year.

Jim Thompson was an American businessman who revitalised the Thai silk industry after World War II and made Thai silk internationally famous. He disappeared mysteriously in Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands in 1967. His former Bangkok home (Jim Thompson House Museum) is one of Bangkok’s top tourist attractions.
