Legal Career

I hold an LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) and a B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) from Montreal university.  I trained under Pierre Poupart – one of Canada’s foremost criminal lawyers. I was admitted to the Barreau du Québec. I learned and practiced under both the Civil Law and Common Law traditions.

In 2002, I moved to Asia. After a year in Beijing and one in Guangzhou, I moved to Thailand. This Blog

This is a personal blog – not a law firm website. I write here about what I know and love: Thai law from an expat’s perspective, the food and travel culture of Isaan (northeast Thailand), and occasionally technology. Most posts are in English, many in French, and some in Thai.

I have been writing online since the late 1990s. This site is an archive of my observations over two decades of living in Thailand, from Korat to Chiangrai to Bangkok.
