Pae Krung Kao is the place where to offer your family or sweetheart a treat on special occasions, when you are ready to spend something more than usual. The restaurant’s setting is amazing and looks like a sort of labyrinthic showroom of antiques. There are several buildings and passages, internal courts, unexpected hidden corners, external terraces and stairs, also accessing directly the river. Tables are placed especially in a long dining hall with view on the river. Some tables are on the floating boat, accessible by stairs from two sides. Some other tables are placed in stylish separate rooms.

Pae Krung Kao opened in 1966. The location is on the island side of Pasak river, south of the highway bridge, facing the confluence of Klong Kramang into the river and the big building of Woraburi Ayothaya Convention Resort. Pae Krung Kao can accommodate up to 300 persons at a time. Customers are especially Thai families, but also foreigners. The restaurant is at a walking distance from River View Place Hotel.

We ordered fried rice and fried prawns with garlic and spent about 400 B, including water and tip. We took a photo also of the grilled prawn that comes for 400 B.
