La tour fantôme de Bangkok

Je me promenais dans les rues de Sathorn quand soudainement je me retrouve juste à côté de la célèbre “Tour Fantôme” de Bangkok. Je connaissais, mais il faut dire que c’est impressionnant de voir la grandeur de cet immeuble abandonné. En effet, l’ édifice a été affectée par la crise financière de 1997. Les 600 unités de condominium sur 47 étages hantent désormais la capitale de la Thaïlande qui a été baptisé “Ghost Tower” ou “Tour fantôme”.   Certains habitant de Bangkok croient vraiment que le bâtiment est habité par des «fantômes». Des histoires sordides circulent sur des meurtres et autres qui auraient eu lieu dans cet endroit. Par exemple, en Décembre 2014, un Suédois a été retrouvé pendu au 44e étage (apparemment un suicide). Il est interdit d’entrer mais beaucoup s’aventurent à grimper jusqu’au sommet pour la vue exceptionnelle. Il est fortement déconseillé d’essayer cette aventure mais si vous voulez voir à quoi cela ressemble, regarder cette vidéo publiée en avril 2015 sur YouTube: Cette tour est située en face de Wat Yan Nawa. Pour s’y rendre, utilisez le BTS en sortant à la station Saphan Taksin. Si vous rêver d’acheter la tour fantôme, sachez qu’on l’annonce en vente pour la modique somme de 60 million de dollars…

Getting There

Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) is located approximately 250 km northeast of Bangkok. You can reach Korat by bus from Bangkok’s Mo Chit terminal (about 3.5 hours), by train from Hua Lamphong station, or by minivan from Chatuchak. Tuk-tuks and songthaews (shared trucks) are the most common local transport within the city.

The Isaan region of northeastern Thailand has its own distinct culinary tradition, influenced by Lao and Khmer cultures. Signature dishes include som tam (spicy papaya salad), larb (spiced minced meat salad), sticky rice (khao niao), and grilled chicken (gai yang).
