This restaurant opened in 2013 in Nakhon Ratchasima. It is located near Vongchavalitkul university in Korat, just behind it. That is the Buddhist university near Makro. You must continue toward Khon Kaen, and just after the university, take the first road on the left. Continue at the end and turn left. It should be not far on your right.
Prices are very reasonable and they have good pizzas and good schnitzel. Also Thai food.
Korat has a small number of European-influenced restaurants, typically serving a mix of German, Austrian, or generic ‘European’ cuisine alongside Thai options. These cater primarily to the Western expat community. Schnitzel, sausages, pork knuckle, and cold European beers occasionally appear on menus in expat-friendly venues.
What does ‘lecker’ mean in German?
‘Lecker’ is a German adjective meaning ‘delicious’ or ‘tasty’ — a direct expression of a restaurant’s quality promise. It’s a common word in German casual speech: ‘Das ist lecker!’ means ‘That’s delicious!’ Using ‘Lecker Lecker’ (doubly delicious) as a restaurant name is both a fun play on words and a claim to double tastiness.
Are there European expats living in Korat?
Yes, though the European community in Korat is smaller than in Bangkok, Phuket, or Pattaya. German, Austrian, Belgian, and other Western European expats have settled in Korat, often married to Thai partners or working in the industrial sector. This community sustains a small number of European-style restaurants and social clubs.
What international food communities exist in Korat?
The largest international food community in Korat is Japanese (driven by Toyota, Honda, and Denso employees), followed by Korean (similar industrial sector connection). The Western European and American expat community is smaller but has created a handful of enduring bars, restaurants, and social clubs over the decades.
