Comparison between Thai law and family law abroad.
Of course, each country has its own laws. But if you are an expat living in Thailand, you should know that some parts of Thai law is different than in your home country. For instance, non-married father do not have parental rights in Thailand (normally, exception is 1547 of the Commercial and Civil Code). Prenuptial agreements are more limited in Thailand than abroad. Alimony is rarely given to a party in case of divorce. And there is no testamentary reserve in Thailand, like in most common law country while many civil law countries do have that part.
