Il y a un nouveau bar et resto à Korat du nom de “High Times”. Ils ont ouvert lentement il y a un mois (environ août ou september 2014) et c’est mieux de jour en jour….
Le proprio est Bang, un jeun de Korat, qui a aussi vécu à New-York et cela se ressent. Il n’y a pas encore de Bar comme celui-ci à Nakhon Ratchasima. Il a aussi de la famille à Hong Kong je crois.

Ils préparent un menu pour bientôt (selon les dires de la semaine dernière) et ont des produits différents comme la bière Phuket.
Ils ont aussi beaucoup de chambres au dessus (je crois 38!)

Korat a une scène nocturne modeste mais en développement — bars, karaoké, restaurants ouverts tard. C’est beaucoup plus calme que Pattaya ou Bangkok, ce que préfèrent beaucoup d’expatriés: moins d’agitation, plus local, et nettement moins cher. La zone autour du centre-ville et des douves a la concentration la plus élevée d’établissements.
Est-il sûr de sortir la nuit à Korat pour un étranger ?
Généralement oui — Korat est considérée comme l’une des villes de province thaïlandaises les plus sûres. Précautions standard: rester dans les zones bien éclairées, surveiller ses consommations, utiliser des taxis enregistrés ou des applications VTC plutôt que d’accepter des trajets non sollicités tard le soir.
