งานฉลองวันแห่งชัยชนะของท้าวสุรนารีประจำปี 2559 หรือ คนโคราชเรียกกันติดปากว่างานย่าโม งานจะจัดขึ้นตั้งแต่วันที่ 23 มีนาคม 2559 จนถึงวันที่ 3 เมษายน 2559 ณ ลานอนุสาวรีย์ ศาลากลางจังหวัดและรอบๆตัวเมืองโคราช
พิธีเปิดงานจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 23 มีนาคม 2559 ตั้งแต่เวลา 08.00 น. เริ่มด้วยพิธีบวงสรวงและมอบคบไฟเพื่อนำไปประกอบพิธีจุดพลุเปิดงานฯ บริเวณทุ่งสัมฤทธิ์ อำเภอพิมาย มีผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนครราชสีมา มอบคบไฟแก่ขบวนวิ่งคบไฟ จากทุ่งสัมฤทธิ์ วิ่งผ่าน อำเภอโนนสูง เฉลิมพระเกียรติ และอำเภอเมืองนครราชสีมา สิ้นสุด ที่โรงเรียนสุขานารีประมาณ 16.30น. เวลา 10.20 น. มีพิธีบวงสรวงอัฐิท้าวสุรนารี ที่วัดศาลาลอย และ 17.00 น. เป็นต้นไปจะเป็นพิธีเปิดงาน ณ ลานอนุสาวรีย์คุณย่าโม โดยจะมีขบวนแห่ต่างๆเช่น มีขบวนเมืองหญิงกล้า ขบวนผ้าไหมดี หมี่โคราช ขบวนปราสาทหิน ขบวนดินด่านเกวียน และขบวนมั่นคง มั่งคั่ง ยั่งยืน การรำบวงสรวงคุณย่าโมและปิดท้ายด้วยการจุดพลุอย่างยิ่งใหญ่และสวยงามเหมือนเช่นทุกปี
ภายในงานมีการประกวดมากมาย เช่น การประกวดอาหารพื้นเมือง โต๊ะโคราช การประกวดกล้วยไม้ ไม้ดอกไม้ประดับ ที่ลานสวนอนุสรณ์สถานสวนสุรนารี การประกวดแมวโคราช การประกวดสุขภาพเด็กดี การเดินแฟชั่นผ้าไหมการกุศล การประกวดหนูน้อยกาชาด การประกวดธิดากาชาดหลานย่าโม การประกวดสุภาพบุรุษกาชาดหลานย่าโม และยังมีการออกร้านกาชาด โดยจะมีศิลปินผลัดเปลี่ยนหมุนเวียนมาให้ความบรรเทิง ความสนุกสนาน ตลอด 12 วัน 12 คืน อีกด้วย
