Location of this hotel is not convenient to short-time visitors who will stay only one or two days in Ayutthaya, unless they came especially to experience and enjoy Thai style nightlife in the surrounding karaoke and “red light” area, known as Grand Market ( ตลาดแดรก์ ). Actually Ayutthaya Grand Hotel was a forerunner, in this respect. As we were told, it opened in 1989 and was the first one to introduce a karaoke night club in Ayutthaya.

The hotel has been growing in time and it now offers a total of 197 rooms in 3 different buildings, accommodating up to 400 guests. Guests are especially Thai and Japanese. Photos on this page refer to a standard room and a junior suite in one of the new buildings.

Staff at the reception is friendly and helpful, but speak only a little English, and some Japanese.
