It is a traditional Korean BBQ and not the more common “Thai style”. The sauces are extremely good and they offer quality beef which you cook at your table. There are several cuts of meat available, depending on what you prefer. All you can eat Korean appetizers and sauces are included with your meal. Frequently Asked Questions
Is there good Korean food in Korat?
Yes — Annyeong Korean Restaurant is one of several Korean restaurants in Nakhon Ratchasima, reflecting Thailand’s significant interest in Korean culture (K-pop, K-dramas, Korean food). Korean BBQ restaurants have expanded across Thai provincial cities over the past decade.
Why is Korean food popular in Thailand?
The Korean Wave (Hallyu) — K-pop, K-dramas, Korean movies — created massive cultural interest in Korea across Southeast Asia. Korean food followed: Korean BBQ (samgyeopsal, galbi), Korean fried chicken, bibimbap, and Korean street snacks are now widely available in Thai cities.
What are the most popular Korean dishes in Thailand?
Thai customers particularly love: Korean BBQ (grilled pork belly/galbi at the table), Korean fried chicken (crispy, double-fried), bibimbap (rice bowl with vegetables and egg), ramyeon (Korean instant noodle variations), and Korean street snacks like tteokbokki and hotteok.
How does Korean food compare to Thai food in terms of spice?
Korean food uses gochugaru (red pepper flakes) and gochujang (fermented chili paste) for heat — a different spice profile from Thai chillies. Korean food tends to be fermented and savory, while Thai food uses fresh herbs and aromatics more prominently. Both cuisines are bold but in different ways.
