What should I wear to visit Angkor Wat?
Dress modestly — shoulders and knees must be covered to enter the inner sanctuary of Angkor Wat. A lightweight long-sleeved shirt and pants or long skirt are ideal. Comfortable walking shoes are essential. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water.
What is the best way to see Angkor Wat at sunrise?
Arrive at the West Gate by 5:15 AM (before official opening). The pre-dawn reflection pool in front of the main tower is the classic sunrise spot. Buy your pass the evening before (the office is open until 5:30 PM). Hire a tuk-tuk the previous day and arrange the 5 AM pickup.
