Absolutely new stunning restaurant in Korat. It opened about a month ago: Jade Cuisine.
It’s located exactly where BALI restaurant was many years ago. On Phonsean street, in front of Anuban or Suranaree School. They are on Facebook at “Jade Cuisine” or something like that. (I saw “cuisin” too)
Jade cuisine is not cheap: dishes are 250 and 300 baht each. 10% discount at the moment if you check in. Food was amazing but service could be better. I have to say it was completely full when we went and should have reserved in advance.
Even the simple fried rice with crab had BIG chunks of super delicious crab. No wine, many items were not available that night.
DO RESERVE: it’s VERY popular in Korat at the money. I highly recommend the fried soft shell crab and also a fried snakehead fish (not on video).

What type of food does Jade Cuisine serve in Nakhon Ratchasima?
Jade Cuisine in Korat is a Chinese-Thai restaurant serving Cantonese-influenced dishes — dim sum, seafood, whole roasted meats (duck, pork), and family-style shared dishes. Chinese-Thai restaurants have been cornerstones of provincial Thai dining for generations, reflecting the large Thai-Chinese community in all major Thai cities.
Is Chinese food authentic in Korat?
Korat has a significant Thai-Chinese population whose families have been in the city for generations. The Chinese-Thai food in established Korat restaurants reflects this heritage — authenticity comes not from recent immigration but from family recipes passed down through generations of Thai-born Chinese descendants.
What is the best Chinese dish to order at a Thai restaurant?
Popular Chinese-Thai restaurant dishes: whole steamed sea bass with ginger and soy, Peking duck (available at better Chinese restaurants), dim sum, crispy pork belly (moo krob), stir-fried Chinese vegetables with oyster sauce, crab with yellow curry (puu phad pong karee), and braised pork belly (khao kha mu).
How is Thai-Chinese food different from restaurant Chinese food in China?
Thai-Chinese food has evolved over 3–5 generations of adaptation to Thai ingredients and palates. It tends to be sweeter, spicier, and uses more local herbs and produce than mainland Chinese restaurant cuisine. Dim sum is similar to Hong Kong-style but adapted to Thai spicing. The result is a distinct cuisine rather than a direct import.
