วันเข้าพรรษาปีนี้ตรงกับวันศุกร์ ที่ 31 กรกฎาคม 2558 ที่มาและความสำคัญของวันเข้าพรรษา การเข้าพรรษา เป็นพุทธบัญญัติ ซึ่งพระภิกษุทุกรูปจะต้องปฏิบัติตาม หมายถึง การอธิษฐานอยู่ประจำที่ไม่เที่ยวจาริกไปยังสถานที่ต่างๆ เว้นแต่มีกิจจำเป็นจริง ๆช่วงจำพรรษาจะอยู่ในช่วงฤดูฝนคือแรม ๑ ค่ำ เดือน ๘ ถึง ๑๕ ค่ำ เดือน ๑๑ ของทุกปี ดังนั้น วันเข้าพรรษา หมายถึง วันที่พระภิกษุในพระพุทธศาสนาอธิษฐานอยู่ประจำในวัด หรือเสนาสนะที่คุ้มแดดคุ้มฝนได้แห่งหนึ่งไม่ไปค้างแรมในที่อื่น ตลอด ๓ เดือนในฤดูฝน หรือที่เข้าใจกันง่ายๆก็คือเป็นวันที่พระสงฆ์ต้องอยู่จำพรรษาที่วัดของตนตลอด 3 เดือน ในช่วงเดือน กรกฏาคม จนถึงกลางเดือน ตุลาคม นั่นเอง วันเข้าพรรษานี้มีความสำคัญต่อพุทธศาสนิกชนและเป็นวันสำคัญของพระพุทธศาสนาด้วยเหตุผลดังนี้ ๑. พระภิกษุจะหยุดจาริกไปยังสถานที่อื่นๆแต่จะเข้าพักอยู่ประจำในวัดแห่งเดียวตามพุทธบัญญัติ ๒. การที่พระภิกษุอยู่ประจำที่นานๆ ย่อมมีโอกาสได้สงเคราะห์กุลบุตรที่ประสงค์จะอุปสมบทเพื่อศึกษาพระธรรมวินัยและสงเคราะห์พุทธบริษัททั่วไป ๓. เป็นเทศกาลที่พระพุทธศาสนิกชนงดเว้นอบายมุขและความชั่วต่าง ๆ เช่น การดื่มสุราสิ่งเสพติด และการเที่ยวเตร่เฮฮา เป็นต้น ๔. นอกจากเป็นเทศกาลที่พุทธศาสนิกชนงดเว้นอบายมุขและความชั่วต่าง ๆ แล้วในช่วงเวลาพรรษา…
