เปิดถนนเล่นน้ำสงกรานต์โคราช โคราชจับมือห้างใหญ่เดอะมอลล์โคราชจัด งานสงกรานต์ประหยัดน้ำโดยเปิดถนนให้เดินเล่นกว่า 800 เมตร หลังห้างเดอะมอลล์โคราช งานจัดขึ้นตั้งแต่วันที่ 13-15 เมษายน 2559 งานจะเริ่มช่วงเวลาตั้งแต่ 15.00น. เป็นต้นไป จนถึงช่วงค่ำ มีการจัดโซนนิ่งเล่นน้ำ ตรวจขันอาวุธและเครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ ไม่อนุญาตให้นำรถขนน้ำเข้ามาเล่นในบริเวณจัดงาน จะมีเพียงปืนฉีดน้ำ การปะแป้ง ปาร์ตี้โฟม รวมไปถึงใช้อุโมงค์น้ำขนาดยักษ์ปล่อยละอองน้ำ ในทุกๆ กิจกรรมที่จัดขึ้นจะลดการใช้น้ำให้มากที่สุด คาดว่าการจัดงาน สงกรานต์โคราช 2559 แบบประหยัดน้ำนี้ จะลดการใช้น้ำหากเทียบกับการจัดงานตามปกติได้ถึง 80% หรือเท่ากับว่าการจัดสงกรานต์ 3 วันในครั้งนี้ ใช้น้ำเท่ากับการจัดงานสงกรานต์แบบปกติไม่ถึง 1 วัน ภายในงานจะมีการจัดกิจกรรมอย่างสนุกสนานรวมไปถึงมีคอนเสิร์ตจากศิลปินชั้นนำ
ครั้งนี้ถือเป็นครั้งแรกของจังหวัดนครราชสีมาที่มีการจัดงานแบบนี้ขึ้นมาซึ่งจะคล้ายกับการจัดงานในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานครนั่นเองค่ะ
